MANUALLY CONFIRMING SHOPPER EMAIL ADDRESS

On ACTIVATING the customer extension, you have the choice if your shoppers must confirm their email address when registering on your website or not. They will receive an email with a link to click on to confirm the email belongs to them. It will however become your responsibility to help customers if their is a problem with confirmation emails, password resets, etc.

THE SHOPPER DID NOT RECEIVE THE CONFIRMATION EMAIL


A shopper might not receive the confirmation email for various reasons (missed the email, server issues, etc.) You can therefore MANUALLY confirm the email address to allow your shopper to login and continue to shop.



  • Once the extension is active, under the STORE tab, click on CUSTOMERS to open the drop down and then click on MANAGE. (Customers will only be available on the menu once the extension is activated.)

  • SEARCH for the shopper email address / name.

  • Click on the MANAGE button next to the said email address (the email will be NOT CONFIRMED).

  • Click on the CONFIRM EMAIL ADDRESS button.

SHOPPER email has been confirmed - they can LOGIN and continue with their shopping.
