DUPLICATING AN EXISTING PRODUCT

When creating a new product, you can duplicate an existing product, if the new product is similar to the existing product.

From the Nimbl Portal, under the STORE tab, click on PRODUCTS to open the drop down and click on the OVERVIEW button

Your product list will appear with all the products you have added to the database (excluding archived products). Choose a product that is similar to your new product and click on the DUPLICATE button.

To duplicate the product, you have to:

Provide a new title for the new product
Choose to use the existing product images or not
Click on the DUPLICATE PRODUCT button

Your product has been created - now you can EDIT the product!

Under the respective tabs, DESCRIPTION, PRICING, INVENTORY, SHIPPING & PRODUCT IMAGES, you can amend the details. (Mandatory fields (underlined in pink) are the following: The Title, Description, Price and the Shipping details.)

NB!! If the product has variants, the variants will be duplicated as well. This means you will have to edit the variants if they differ, have less/more variants or if their SKU needs to change.

Once you have checked/updated all fields and are happy to continue, click on the SAVE CHANGES button to update your product on the DATABASE.

TIP: PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT ALL CHANGES ARE CORRECT BEFORE CLICKING ON THE SAVE CHANGES BUTTON. Once you have clicked on the button, you will manually have to amend anything again.

NB! When a product is duplicated it will not be published or marked as featured, this has to be done manually. This can be done under the STATUS tab.
