3. ADVANCED SHIPPING RULES
Advanced Shipping Service Levels let you create your own courier-style delivery options with custom rates based on delivery zones and weight — just like Rates at Checkout for BobGo, but fully managed inside your BeNimble Portal.
You can define multiple service levels (e.g. Economy, Express, Same Day) — each with its own delivery promise, insurance note, and rate setup.
For each Service Level, you’ll define delivery rates per zone:
Local – Usually within the same city
Main – Major urban centres
Regional – Outlying or rural areas
Each zone can use one of three Rate Types:
FlatRate – A fixed delivery fee (e.g. R100.00)
FormulaRate – A dynamic rate based on weight (e.g. Base R200 + R20/kg over 2kg)
NotOffered – Use this if you don’t want to offer delivery to that zone for this service level
Economy
Delivery in 3–5 business days. Insurance: Yes (R2000)
Local: R100.00 (FlatRate)
Main: R200.00 (FlatRate)
Regional: R300.00 (FlatRate)
Express
Delivery in 1–2 business days. Insurance: Yes (R1000)
Local: R100 + R10/kg over 2kg (FormulaRate)
Main: R200 + R20/kg over 2kg (FormulaRate)
Regional: R200 + R30/kg over 2kg (FormulaRate)
Same Day
Order must be placed before 11am. Handling time: 1 day. Insurance: No
Local: R500.00 (FlatRate)
Main: Not Offered
Regional: Not Offered
Once you have updated and changed your rules remember to click Save, and be sure to have a look at your checkout to ensure it works as you intended it to.
