SHIPPING RULE

  • From the Nimbl Portal, under the STORE tab, click on STORE SETTINGS to open the drop down and click on SHIPPING RULE.

The shipping rule is the shipping cost you will be charging the client. This will be added to their order when they order on your online store.

The default setting is a eParcel Shipping Rate. This means that your client will be charged eParcel courier rates based on their address and order weight.

You can change this.

  • Click on the CHANGE SHIPPING RULE button.

THERE ARE THREE OPTIONS TO CHOOSE FROM (Which you can combine with FREE SHIPPING)

WITHOUT FREE SHIPPING

  • LEAVE the free shipping option BLANK and choose one of the three shipping options below:

1. FLAT SHIPPING RATE

Choose FLAT SHIPPING RATE from the drop down box.

Use this option if you want to charge your customer a flat rate for their shipping. Flat Shipping Rate will allow delivery to anywhere in South Africa at checkout for the rate you specify.

ex: If you set your rate to 0, your clients will receive free delivery anywhere in South Africa.

ex: If you set your rate to 100, your clients will be charged R100 delivery fee anywhere in South Africa.

  • Click on the SAVE SHIPPING RULE button to complete.

2. eParcel SHIPPING RATE

Choose eParcel SHIPPING RATE from the drop down box.

eParcel Shipping Rate will allow delivery to anywhere in South Africa at checkout for registered eParcel courier rates. Your client will be charged eParcel courier rates based on their address and order weight.

You can choose to:

1. DISCOUNT the amount by adding a positive value, OR

2. MARK UP the amount by adding a negative value, OR

3. Leave empty to charge the client eParcel calculated rates.

ex: DISCOUNT: If the eParcel calculated rate is R100, and your subsidy rate is 40, your client will be charged R60.

ex: MARK UP: If the eParcel calculated rate is R100, and your subsidy rate is -40, your client will be charged R140.

  • Click on the SAVE SHIPPING RULE button to complete.

3. BUILD OWN SHIPPING ZONES

Choose BUILD SHIPPING ZONES from the drop down box.

You decide where you want to deliver by creating your own shipping zones. Your clients will be charged based on the rate you choose per shipping zone (either Flat Shipping Rate, eParcel Shipping Rate, Minimum Order Value, or Area not allowed).

You add a new zone, name that zone, and add the postal codes that you want inside that zone.

It gives you the option to add different rules to different areas.

HOW DOES THIS WORK?

Add a new zone by choosing the postal codes you want to include. Name that zone and decide which rule should apply to your new zone.

Repeat if you want to create more than 1 zone.

WHAT IS THE 'ALL AREAS NOT LISTED' SHIPPING ZONE?

This is the rule that will apply at checkout, if the customers post code does not fall into one of your Shipping Zones created.
