VARIANT MEDIA EXTENSION

The way you present images on a product page matters. It needs to be easy to use, interactive and mobile-friendly. Your visitors will focus on images before they start reading product description. This extension allows you to add a specific image for a Variant Option when your product has variants so your customer gets a good idea of what they are buying. This is proven to lift your conversion rates.


ENABLING EXTENSION

  1. ADDING VARIANT MEDIA


Variant images show shoppers what each product variant looks like. For example, you can use variant images to show products in different sizes or colors. By default, the Product Original Image displays until shoppers select a variant from the drop-down menu.


  • ENABLE EXTENSION

  • Once you have ENABLED the Variant Media Extension, under the STORE tab, click on PRODUCTS to open the drop down and click on the OVERVIEW button.

  • Click on the VIEW button of the product you want to add variant images to.

  • Click on the fourth TAB, INVENTORY.

  • Click on the VARIANT IMAGES button (available on this page once the extension is ENABLED).

  • Choose for which of your variant OPTIONS you would like to add images to using the drop down.

  • Click on the NEXT STEP button.

  • UPLOAD the corresponding image for each variant.

  • Click on the SAVE VARIANT IMAGES button.


When viewing the product, the image displayed will be the Original Product Image. The variant images will now change as the shopper goes through the COLOR options.


NOTE: The product image thumbnails include (up to) 3 Original Product Images, and (up to) 5 Variant Images (MAX TOTAL - 8 images).



2. EDITING VARIANT MEDIA


This video will illustrate how to edit variant media. We will be looking

at the following:


  • From the Nimbl Portal, under the STORE tab, click on PRODUCTS to open the drop down and click on the OVERVIEW button.

  • Click on the VIEW button of the product you want to edit the variant media of.

  • Click on the fourth TAB, INVENTORY.

  • Click on the VARIANT IMAGES button


2.1 REMOVING VARIANT IMAGES

Removing a single variant image.


  • Click on the BIN to remove a IMAGE.

  • Click on the SAVE CHANGES button.


You have successfully removed a Variant Image.


2.2 ADDING VARIANT IMAGES

If you removed a variant image, or added more variants (for example, your product is now available in even more colors), you can add variant images to these.


  • If all variants in the option do not have a image linked to them, the ADD MISSING OPTIONS button will appear.Click on the button.

  • Only the Variants that don't have a image linked to them will be available. UPLOAD the corresponding image.

  • Click on the SAVE VARIANT IMAGES button.


You have successfully added a Variant Image.


2.3 REMOVING ALL VARIANT IMAGES / CHANGING OPTION

Removing all variant images either to redo the images OR to change the variant option you want to add images to (for example, you had images for each size, but now want to rather have images for each color.


  • Click on the DELETE IMAGES button.

  • A pop-up will appear to confirm you want to delete all Variant Images. Click OK.

  • Now you can re-select the option and redo the images. (see: ADDING VARIANT MEDIA)
