BEAUTIFYING A CATEGORY

Make your site shine with the Beautify Category extension.

This allows you to add an image to a category and mark it as a featured category. Featured categories will show up on your home page to drive traffic to these sections of your website.

You can also decide to show nested categories when viewing a category on your website!

Once you have activated the BEAUTIFY CATEGORY EXTENSION, you can manage each category separately and decide what works best for your website.

FEATURING CATEGORIES ON YOUR HOME PAGE

FIRSTLY, check if your extension settings allow you to feature categories on the home page of your website. (Check out the full video on how to activate the beautify extension.)

Choose the category you want to FEATURE and click on the EDIT button.
Click on the BEAUTIFY tab (only available if extension is activated).
FIRSTLY you choose if you want to feature THIS SPECIFIC category on the home page of your website. (Default set to NO.)
ADD a description (optional).
And lastly, ADD a category image (optional). If no image selected, colour will be used as selected when activating the extension.
Click on the SAVE CATEGORY button.

The category will be marked with a STAR if featured on the homepage of your website.

Repeat the process with other categories to feature them on your homepage.

(It is not limited to MAIN categories, even SUBCATEGORIES can be featured, depending on what you want to stand out on the home page.)

2. SHOWCASING SUBCATEGORIES WHEN VIEWING A PARENT CATEGORY

FIRSTLY, check if your extension settings allow you to showcase subcategories when viewing a parent category. (Check out the full video on how to activate the beautify extension.)

Once the extension setting is set to YES, ALL subcategories will be showcased when viewing a main category.
If the category does not have a image, the colour selected when activating the extension will fill the block. Double check to make sure it is the way you want it.
You can add an image to your categories (see above).
Click on the SAVE CATEGORY button.
