INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING RULE

  • From the Nimbl Portal, under the STORE tab, click on STORE SETTINGS to open the drop down and click on SHIPPING RULE.

The shipping rule is the shipping cost you will be charging the client. This will be added to their order when they order on your online store. By default your store does not offer international shipping until you add your shipping zones

CREATE SHIPPING ZONES

  • Under the "REST OF THE WORLD" tab click on "CREATE SHIPPING ZONE"

SHIPPING ZONE SETTINGS

  • Zone Name: The name used in the portal for your information i.e SOUTHERN AFRICA

  • Website Description: The details of this shipping option use to inform your shoppers of the service i.e. "DHL EXPRESS (2-5 days)

  • Add Country: Add countries covered by this zone. Please note that a country can not be used across different zones. Type the country name you want to add and click on it from the popup to add it.

  • Free Shipping Order Value: This will provide free shipping to your shoppers for this zone if their order value is equals to and bigger than you value set here. Set to 0 to not use.

1. FLAT RATE

Flat rate will be the final charge for courier service to your shoppers used for this zone.

2. ORDER WEIGHT

Order weight is used if you want the system to calculate to courier cost based on generally used rules.

  • Base Rate: The minimum charge for a delivery fee for this zone i.e. R150

  • Base Weight: The weight covered by the Base Rate above i.e. 2kg.

This above rule settings will then charge R150 for all order weighing less than 2kg.

  • Weight Increment: The weight increment steps used to calculate the delivery cost i.e. 1 (1KG)

  • Cost per Increment: The cost per weight increment set above.

All the field are mandatory and only integers are allowed.

EXAMPLE:

  • BASE RATE: R250

  • BASE WEIGHT: 1KG

  • WEIGHT INCREMENT: 1KG

  • COST PER INCREMENT: R40

If the above rule is used and the order weight total is less than 1KG a fee of R250 will be charged to your shoppers.

If the weight of the order is more than 1KG a formula is used. For this example the order weight totals 4.6KG.

BASE RATE: R250 for the first 1KG. For the remaining 3.6KG the shopper is charged R40 per KG. The order weight will be rounded up to 5KG thus 5xR40 will be added. The total charge will be R250 + R200 = R450 Shipping costs.

To build the above rule please consult your courier service provider for a rate sheet and use this as your data to build this rule.
