Overview
The World Shipping Rule allows you to configure shipping settings for international orders (orders shipped outside of South Africa). This is separate from your domestic South Africa shipping rule.
Setting Up World Shipping
- Go to Store Settings > Shipping Rule in the left menu
- Scroll to the Rest of the World section
- Configure the international shipping options:
- Enable or disable international shipping
- Set a fixed international shipping fee
- Configure courier rates for international orders
Considerations for International Shipping
When shipping internationally, consider:
- Higher courier costs
- Customs and import duties (payable by the recipient in most cases)
- Longer delivery timeframes
- Packaging requirements for international transit
Communicating Shipping Information
Ensure your store's shipping page or policy page clearly explains your international shipping terms and estimated delivery times.
If you are not ready to offer international shipping, you can disable it and only accept orders from South Africa until you are prepared to fulfil international orders.
