Overview
The Shipping Rule page allows you to configure how shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout for your customers. You can set up rules for South Africa and the rest of the world separately.
South Africa Shipping Rules
Free Shipping Order Value
Set a minimum order value above which shipping is free for South African customers. Toggle this option to activate it and set the qualifying amount.
Current Shipping Rule
Choose how shipping is calculated:
- Preferred Courier Rate – Uses the rate from your integrated courier partner
- Fixed Amount – A set shipping fee regardless of the order
- Free Shipping – Always free shipping
Subsidise Amount
Enter an amount to subsidise (reduce) the shipping cost shown to customers. This is useful if you want to partially cover the shipping cost yourself.
Rest of the World
Configure separate shipping rules for international orders.
Saving Your Shipping Rule
After configuring your rule, save the settings. The new rule will apply to all new orders immediately.
Your shipping rule has a direct impact on conversion rates. Consider offering free shipping above a threshold that still maintains your margins while incentivising customers to add more to their cart.
