Overview

The Custom Domain page allows you to connect your own domain name (e.g. www.yourstore.co.za) to your Be Nimble store instead of using the default Be Nimble subdomain.

Setting Up a Custom Domain

  1. Go to Store Settings > Custom Domain in the left menu
  2. Enter your domain name in the field provided (e.g. https://www.yourdomain.co.za)
  3. The system generates DNS records for you to add at your domain provider
  4. Log in to your domain registrar (where you bought your domain)
  5. Add the DNS records exactly as listed
  6. Wait for DNS propagation (this can take up to 72 hours)

DNS Setup Process

The system will periodically check that your DNS records are correctly configured. Once verified, the custom domain setup is completed automatically and you will be notified.

Important Notes

  • DNS updates can take time to propagate depending on your provider
  • Once the records are in place, no further action is needed
  • If after 72 hours the DNS records do not reflect, the custom domain will be removed and you will need to set it up again
