Overview

Variants allow you to sell a product in multiple options, such as different sizes, colours, or styles, all under a single product listing. Each variant can have its own price, SKU, and stock count.

Adding Variants to a Product

  1. Go to Products > Overview and open or create a product
  2. Find the Variants section in the product edit page
  3. Add variant options (e.g. Colour with values Red, Blue, Green)
  4. Add additional option types if needed (e.g. Size with values S, M, L)
  5. Set individual prices, SKUs, and stock levels for each variant combination
  6. Save the product

Variant Media

If the Variant Media extension is active, you can link specific images to each variant so customers see the correct product image when they select an option.

Managing Variant Stock

Each variant has its own stock count. Update variant stock levels from the Inventory page or directly from the product edit page.

SKUs for Variants

Assigning unique SKU codes to each variant makes inventory management much easier and helps with order picking and dispatch.

Variants are more user-friendly than having separate product listings for each size or colour. They keep your catalogue clean and make the shopping experience simpler.
