Overview
The Uploadify extension allows you to add file upload and text customisation fields to individual products. This enables customers to submit personalisation details when they add a product to their cart.
Enabling Uploadify on a Product
Once the Uploadify extension is activated under Extensions, you can enable it on individual products:
- Go to Products > Overview and open the product you want to customise
- Find the Uploadify settings section in the product edit page
- Enable the upload fields you need:
- Text Field – For customer-entered text (e.g. a name to print)
- Image Upload – For customer-uploaded images
- Save the product
How It Works for Customers
When a customer views this product on your store:
- They see the upload field below the product description
- They can enter their text or upload their file before adding to cart
- The customisation details are submitted with the order
Viewing Customisation Details on Orders
When you receive an order with Uploadify data, open the order in Orders > Open Orders to see the customer's submitted text or uploaded file.
Uploadify is perfect for printed merchandise, custom gifts, embroidery, or any product that requires customer input before production.
