Overview

You can customise each category with a description, image, featured status, and SEO settings. This helps make your categories more engaging and discoverable.

Editing a Category

  1. Go to Products > Categories in the left menu
  2. Find the category you want to customise
  3. Click EDIT next to the category name
  4. Update the category details:
  • Name and description
  • Category image (if Beautify Category extension is active)
  • Featured status (if Beautify Category extension is active)
  • SEO title and description
  1. Save your changes

Category Image

If the Beautify Category extension is active, you can add an image to each category. Category images make your store more visually appealing and help customers identify categories at a glance.

Featured categories can appear on your home page as visual tiles, making it easy for shoppers to jump directly to a specific product range.

Good category descriptions and SEO metadata help your categories appear in search engine results and drive organic traffic to your store.
