Overview
The Import / Export feature can also be used to bulk update existing products. By exporting your products, making changes, and re-importing, you can update multiple products at once.
How to Bulk Update Products
- Go to Products > Import / Export in the left menu
- Click EXPORT TO CSV to download your current product list
- Open the CSV file and make your changes (prices, descriptions, stock levels, etc.)
- Save the updated CSV file
- Use IMPORT NEW CSV to upload the updated file
What You Can Update in Bulk
Using CSV import/export you can update:
- Product titles
- Descriptions
- Prices
- Stock quantities
- Categories
- Published status
Tips
- Always keep a backup of the original export before making changes
- Test with a small number of products first
- Review the updated products in the portal after import
Bulk updates via CSV save significant time compared to editing products one by one, especially when updating prices for a sale or refreshing descriptions.
