How do I assign products to a category?

A product can belong to more than one category.

From the product editor

1. Go to Products > Overview.
2. Open the product.
3. Find its category selection.
4. Choose the appropriate categories.
5. Save the product.

From the category

1. Go to Products > Categories.
2. Click EDIT for a saved category.
3. Click MANAGE LINKED PRODUCTS.
4. Search or browse for products and use the add/remove actions.

Changes on the linked-product management page are saved there. You do not need to return to the category editor and save its details again.

The category editor's Linked Products tab is read-only. It provides search and paging for the current links.

If the category has reached its linked-product limit, remove unneeded links before adding more. Save a new category before trying to manage its products.

Category membership alone does not publish a product. Check both publication and category assignment when an item is missing from the storefront.
