Overview
Archiving a product removes it from your active product list and hides it from your store, but does not delete it. Archived products can be restored at any time.
When to Archive a Product
Archive a product when:
- You have stopped selling it but may sell it again in the future
- It is out of stock for an extended period
- You want to declutter your active product list
- It is a seasonal product not currently in season
How to Archive a Product
- Go to Products > Overview in the left menu
- Find the product you want to archive
- Open the product for editing
- Use the archive option to archive the product
- Save
The product is removed from the active list and moved to Products > Archived Products.
Difference Between Archive and Delete
- Archive – Hides the product but preserves all data. Can be restored.
- Delete – Permanently removes the product. Cannot be undone.
Always archive rather than delete products. Archived products preserve order history and can be easily restored when needed.
