Overview

Product variants allow you to offer the same product in multiple options (such as size and colour) under a single product listing. This keeps your catalogue clean and makes shopping easier for customers.

How to Add Variants

  1. Open a product for editing (or create a new product)
  2. Find the Variants section in the product edit page
  3. Click to add a new variant option
  4. Enter the option name (e.g. "Colour")
  5. Add the option values (e.g. "Red", "Blue", "Green")
  6. Repeat for additional options (e.g. "Size" with "S", "M", "L")
  7. Set pricing, SKU, and stock level for each combination
  8. Save the product

Setting Variant Pricing

Each variant combination can have its own price. If all variants are the same price, you only need to set it once.

Setting Variant SKUs

Assign unique SKU codes to each variant for easier inventory management and order picking.

Variant Stock

Each variant has its own stock count. Track variant stock from the Inventory page.

Variant Images

If the Variant Media extension is active, you can link a specific image to each variant so customers see the right product when they select an option.

Keep variant option names consistent across products (e.g. always use "Size" not sometimes "Size" and sometimes "Sizing"). Consistency makes the shopping experience more intuitive.
