Overview
The Subscriber extension adds a newsletter sign-up form to your home page, allowing shoppers to opt in to receive specials, promotions, and exclusive discounts from your store.
Setting Up the Subscriber Extension
- Go to Extensions in the left menu
- Find the Subscriber extension card
- Click MANAGE EXTENSION
- Activate the extension
Linking a Discount Code for New Subscribers
You can incentivise sign-ups by linking an active discount code to the Subscriber extension. New subscribers will automatically receive an email with a uniquely generated discount code that is:
- Valid for one use only
- Valid for 7 days after sign-up
- Based on the discount code you select
Note: Only discount codes applied to the total order value are valid for this feature. Product-specific discount codes cannot be used.
Managing Subscribers
The Subscriber management page shows a list of all email addresses subscribed from your website, including the date they subscribed. You can export this list to CSV or Excel.
A percentage discount of between 5% and 10% is recommended to incentivise newsletter sign-ups without significantly impacting your margins.
