Overview

Abandoned Cart Recovery (ACR) sends follow-up emails to shoppers who add products to cart and leave before checkout. This helps recover lost sales.

How It Works

When a customer abandons their cart, automated emails are sent over time:

  1. Reminder: reminds the customer about items left in cart (after 4 hours)
  2. Objection: addresses common concerns (after 24 hours)
  3. Discount: offers a discount if no existing discount is active (after 48 hours)
  4. Last Chance: final urgency reminder (after 72 hours)

Setting Up ACR

  1. Go to Extensions in the left menu
  2. Find Abandoned Cart Recovery under Advanced Extensions
  3. Click MANAGE EXTENSION
  4. Activate each email type and configure the messaging
  5. Click VIEW ACR REPORTS to monitor performance

Tips

Note: Each email type can be activated independently. Start with the Reminder email, then add more stages as needed.

  • Keep email content friendly and helpful
  • Avoid overly pushy language
  • The Discount email only sends if the customer does not already have an active discount
