Overview
Free shipping discounts allow you to create discount codes that waive the shipping cost for a customer's order. This is a great promotional tool to encourage purchases.
Creating a Free Shipping Discount
- Go to Discounts > Add Discount in the left menu
- Under Discount Type, select FREE SHIPPING
- Enter a discount code (no spaces, no duplicates, max 20 characters)
- Click NEXT to configure the remaining settings
Configuring the Discount
After selecting Free Shipping as the type, you can set:
- Usage limit – Unlimited or a specific number of uses
- End date – Set an expiry date or leave indefinite
- First time buyer only – Restrict the code to customers making their first purchase
Viewing Active Discounts
All your active discount codes, including free shipping discounts, are visible on the Discounts > Overview page. The table shows the code, date created, status, type, and usage statistics.
Free shipping discount codes can be shared with customers via email, social media, or displayed on your store as a promotion.
