Overview

Fixed value and percentage discounts allow you to create discount codes that reduce the order total by either a set amount or a percentage of the order value.

Creating a Fixed or Percentage Discount

  1. Go to Discounts > Add Discount in the left menu
  2. Under Discount Type, select FIXED VALUE OR PERCENTAGE
  3. Enter a unique discount code (no spaces, max 20 characters)
  4. Click NEXT to configure the discount details

Discount Configuration Options

When setting up a fixed or percentage discount you can configure:

  • Discount value – A fixed amount (e.g. R50.00) or a percentage (e.g. 10%)
  • Applied to – The total order value or specific products
  • Usage limit – Unlimited or restricted to a specific number of uses
  • End date – An expiry date or indefinite validity
  • First time buyer only – Whether the code is restricted to new customers

Viewing Your Discounts

All active discounts are listed on the Discounts > Overview page, showing usage statistics and conversion data.

Percentage discounts work well for high-value orders, while fixed value discounts can feel more tangible for customers on smaller purchases.
