Overview

Customer accounts on your Be Nimble store can be activated or deactivated by the store administrator. This lets you control which customers have active access to their accounts.

Activating an Account

To activate a customer account:

  1. Go to Customers > Manage in the left menu
  2. Find the customer you want to activate
  3. Click MANAGE next to their name
  4. Toggle the account status to active

Deactivating an Account

If you need to prevent a customer from accessing their account:

  1. Go to Customers > Manage
  2. Find the customer
  3. Click MANAGE next to their name
  4. Set the account status to inactive

Extension Settings

The Customers Extension settings (found under Extensions > Customers) let you configure whether:

  • New customers must validate their email before their account is active
  • Accounts are automatically active upon registration

Changes to account status take effect immediately. An inactive customer will not be able to log in to your store.
