Overview

Custom tabs are the extra content tabs on a product page — things like Care Instructions, Sizing Guide, What's in the Box, or Warranty. They sit alongside your main product description and give shoppers the detail they need without cluttering the description.

Every custom tab has its own Write with AI button, which writes the content for that one tab.

Each section costs 1 Nimble.

This is available on both the product page and the Add Product page, so you can build your tab content before the product has even been saved for the first time.

Writing a Tab Section

  1. Open a product from Products > Overview, or start a new one from Products > Add a Product
  2. Add a custom tab if you do not have one yet
  3. Click Write with AI on the tab you want to fill
  4. Fill in the brief:
  • Product name — filled in for you where available
  • Short product description — a one-line summary to give the AI context, up to 200 characters
  • Section to write — what this tab should cover, for example "care instructions"
  • Brand voice — pick a style, or write your own
  1. Click Generate — costs 1 Nimble
  2. Read the result, then click Use this content
  3. Click SAVE on the product

The Section to write field is the one that matters most. Be specific: "washing and drying instructions for merino wool" produces a far more useful tab than "care".

Choosing a Brand Voice

Six preset styles are available:

  • Energetic & Confident
  • Friendly & Approachable
  • Professional & Trustworthy
  • Luxurious & Premium
  • Fun & Playful
  • Bold & Edgy

If none of them fit, click Write my own… and describe the style yourself, up to 60 characters.

For practical tabs like care instructions, sizing or warranty terms, Professional & Trustworthy or Clean & Minimal usually reads better than a playful voice. Save the personality for your main description.

Good Tabs to Generate

Sections that work particularly well:

  • Care instructions — washing, storage, maintenance
  • Sizing guide — how the item fits, how to measure
  • What's in the box — everything included with the purchase
  • Materials — what the product is made from
  • Warranty — what is covered and for how long
  • How to use — setup or first-use instructions

Things to Know

You need a custom tab first

The Write with AI button only appears on a custom tab. If you do not see it anywhere on the product, you have not added a custom tab yet.

Each button writes into its own tab

The button writes into the tab it sits in. If you have several tabs, make sure you click the button on the tab you actually want filled.

Nothing saves until you click SAVE

Clicking Use this content puts the text into that tab's editor. It does not save the product. Click SAVE before leaving the page.

If you lose a generated section, it is still in AI Assistant > Replay, free to retrieve.

Regenerating costs another Nimble

Regenerate runs a fresh generation and charges 1 Nimble again.

Formatting is kept simple

Generated sections use basic formatting only: paragraphs, bold, italics, line breaks and lists. This keeps your tabs looking consistent across every product.

Check the facts before publishing

AI writes convincingly about care instructions, materials and warranty terms it cannot actually verify. Read every generated tab and correct anything that does not match your real product or your real policy before you publish.

Warranty and returns information in a tab is a commitment to your customer. Never publish an AI-generated warranty tab without checking it against the terms you actually offer.
