Overview
Be Nimble allows you to control the sort order of categories so that customers see them in the most logical and useful sequence when browsing your store.
Sorting Main Categories
- Go to Products > Categories in the left menu
- Use the sort or drag-and-drop functionality to reorder your main categories
- Save the changes
Sorting Sub-Categories
If you have sub-categories nested under main categories, you can also sort these independently:
- Go to Products > Categories
- Expand the parent category to see its sub-categories
- Reorder the sub-categories as needed
- Save the changes
Category Display
The category order you set in the portal directly affects the order customers see categories in:
- The navigation menu
- Category listings
- Home page category sections (template dependent)
Think from the customer's perspective when sorting categories. What are they most likely to browse first? Lead with your bestselling or most distinctive categories.
